Welna Bynum, 74, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Huntington, Arkansas. She was born on June 14, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan to Bruce and Dorothy (McClendon) Ray. She was a dark room technician and secretary for Sparks Regional Medical Center, following her retirement she worked at Weldon, Williams and Lick. Welna was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Bynum, a sister, Wendy Hook and two brothers, Nathan (Rocky) and Terry Ray.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jamie Morrison of Hackett, Amy Carson and her husband Brent of Huntington and Michelle Connally of Hackett; a son, Clovis “Bud” Bynum of Heavener, OK; 10 grandchildren, Keirsten and Courtney Purvis, Adam Ridenour, Emma Morrison, Cody Carson (Kaylie), Bailey Elmore (Dustin), Mason and Aiden Bynum and Liam and Lilly Connally and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1:00PM, Monday, May 2, 2022 at Hackett First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Bud Bynum, Brad Connally, Brent and Cody Carson, Dustin Elmore and Robby Flesher.
