Victor Ray Benefield, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in Fort Smith. He was born on January 2, 1934 in Emerson, Arkansas to Felix Zack and Nadine (Hudson) Benefield. He was a retired Field Tech from Arkla Energy Recourses and a longtime member of Harvest Time Church and the Golden Harvesters at Harvest Time. He was preceded in death by his wife Connie.
Funeral services are 10:00AM, Monday, February 27, 2023 at Harvest Time Church with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
The family will visit with friends from 2-4PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Darby (Bill) of Little Rock, AR, a son, Terry Benefield (Dee Ann) of Texarkana, TX, two stepsons, Donald Peterson (Yvonne) of Fortuna, CA and Tim Peterson (Barbara) of Fort Smith; a brother, Rayford Benefield of Mesquite, TX; eleven grandchildren, Christopher Darby (Sharry), Sam Benefield (Emily), Harrison Benefield, Jessica Griffin (Andrew), Alex White (Cody), Lauren Attaway (Lance), William, Michael and Ethan Peterson, Stephen Peterson(Melissa) and Colin Peterson (Paige), and 16 great grandchildren.
