Ruby Jean Ball, 89, of Alma, Arkansas passed away peacefully at a local nursing home on Monday, January 16, 2023. She was a home maker and attended Highway to Heaven Church in Alma where she was a prayer warrior. Ruby had a servant’s heart and loved helping other people. She was born April 22, 1933 to the late Howard and Velma (Ramey) Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Luther Ball; parents, Howard and Thelma Russell; sons, Roger Ball, Troy Ball, Terry Ball; sisters, Pauline Watson, Wanda Peters, Betty Russell, Mary Boren, Ruth Boren; brothers, James Russell, Howard Russell, Jimmy Russell, Bobby Russell, and George Russell.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with interment to follow at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, Arkansas. The family will visit with friends and family from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Pallbearers will be Mike Ball, Michelle Ball, Joe Ball, Roy Dale Ball, Tommy Stepusin, and Steven McGowan.

Ruby is survived by sons, Roy Lee Ball of Van Buren, AR, Mike Ball and wife Tammy of Alma, AR, Roy Eugene Ball and wife Patricia of Wichita, KS, Tommy Dean Ball and wife Connie; daughters, Angela Stepusin and husband Tommy of Alma, AR; Phyllis Lacy and husband John, Brenda Watkins and husband Fred of Wichita, KS; Twana Rhoades, Becky Johnson of Wichita; brother Dariel Russell; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
