Obituary for Robert Wayne Mathews
Robert Wayne Mathews 77, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in his home. He was born June 20, 1945 in Van Buren to Carl and Velta (Mize) Mathews.
He was retired from General Motor Railroad Division and of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jimmy Carl Mathews.
He is survived by two sisters, Donna Edwards of Fort Smith and Mary Imogene Patterson of Milan, TN;
two brothers Richard Mathews of Joliet, Illinois and Ronnie Matthews of Alma.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. A burial of
cremains will be held at a later date in Gracelawn Cemetery.
