Richard Childers, age 56, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday July 2, 2022. He was born on October 21, 1965, in Ozark, Arkansas to Seldon Norman and Lillian Mae (Barnes) Childers.
Richard was a salesman for Arkansas Mill Supply and a devoted member of Community Bible Church where his passion for children shown through in his work with the Angel Tree. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sandy Durning and a nephew Kyle Childers
Richard is survived by his loving wife Tamie Childers; two daughters, Taryn Price of Fort Smith and Kamryn Barraw (Levi) of Pocola, OK; two brothers, Nick Childers (Pat) of Clarksville, AR, Bob Childers (Pat) of Fort Smith; three sisters, Linda Childers and Franny Spencer of Fort Smith and Lori Spradling (Brian) of Alma, AR; one grandchild Jordyn Bassett; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Friday July 8, 2022 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
