Obituary for Patricia Ann Deal (Hartsell)
Patricia Ann Deal, 78, of Van Buren passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at a local hospital. She was a seamstress and of the Baptist faith. Patricia was born August 19, 1944 in Madera, CA to the late Basil and Lois (Eppler) Hartsell. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Price and Linda Sue Kelly and two sons, James David Deal and Gary Don Deal.
Patricia met Jim through mutual friends and have been happily married for 54 years. After retiring from Cintas, Patricia enjoyed spending her time traveling and quality time with her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Patricia is best known for her quick wit and charismatic, outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and loved giving to others with her generous heart. As a strong Christian woman, she often inspired others to share her same love for Christ.
Family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, 700 Jefferson St. Private family burial will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Survivors include her husband Jim Deal of the home; daughters, Teresa Patrick and husband Mac of Van Buren, Lisa Filipkoski and husband Richard of Florida and Janis Fraser of Georgia; sister, Norma Newman of Mansfield; brother, Billy Hartsell of Sulphur, OK; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
