Obituary for Nina Jean Ballenger (Brown)
Nina Jean Ballenger 75 of Van Buren passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 in her home. She was owner/operator of Hair Affair in Van Buren; she was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and loved to travel. She attended the Old Country Church in Altus. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Wayne Ballenger; her father Melvin Eugene Brown.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 PM Monday, February 27, 2023 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Fort Smith U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren. Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 70 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
She is survived by one son Buckley Ballenger and wife Melissa of Yukon, Oklahoma; her mother LaVerne Brown of Van Buren; her grandchildren Phillip Ballenger and wife Gabbie of Dora and Presley Ballenger of Yukon, Oklahoma; and expected great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Buckley, Phillip and Presley Ballenger, Martha and Keith Moore, Randy McCormick.
