Obituary for Mark DeWayne Upton

Mark DeWayne Upton, 58, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away in his home on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born on May 17, 1963 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Mark was retired from Trane Manufacturing where he had made many lifelong friends. Throughout his life, Mark was happiest spending time outdoors, especially when on a boat fishing with his brother and his buddies. When he couldn’t get outside, Mark enjoyed spending time with his family over a meal or watching his favorite action-packed Marvel movies. He also loved animals, and considered himself a proud grandfather to many of his fur grandbabies before becoming “grandpa” to his pride and joy, James Dean. Mark had the gift of generosity and never met a stranger. He was known for his numerous friendships he had formed over many years because of his willingness to spark up a conversation with anyone and everyone.
