Obituary for Joseph Damico

Joseph Damico was born April 20, 1966 and passed away on November 28, 1922. He was preceded in death by Francis and Joseph Damico. Joe was a good friend to me and my family for many years. He was a New Jersey boy with a slight accent, how he ended up in Van Buren, Arkansas I really don't know. However what I do know about Joe is his heart was pure gold. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, he loved his wife with an unconditional loyalty. Joe had a talent for fixing lawn mowers and he provided for his family by mowing lawns including mine. Some summers Joe would mow twelve yards a day in the scorching sun. He was no ordinary man for all the yards he took care of he pushed them out by hand. Most of the places he traveled was by his own two feet.
Joe had a special way with animals they all loved him. One of Joe's favorite pastimes was to go fishing, that man had more fishing poles than their are fish in the sea. In the winter months he enjoyed putting together model cars, which was displayed on his living room wall.
Joe's integrity was exactly how God expects ours to be, if he told you he would call you at 4 he called at 4, If he told you he would be there at 2 he was there at 2. If he made a mess he did his best to clean it up. Joe always spoke kind words such as yes ma'am and no ma'am, He said thank you and please, when he would knock on our the first words out of his mouth were I'm sorry to bother you however this man was never a bother.
At some point in all of our lives we develop little sayings and Joe's favorite was....
"If the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise."
It has been an honor and a blessing to share time on Earth with little Joe Damico

Survivors are his wife Brenda Damico and one stepson Terry Hamm and his wife Tina all of Van Buren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Eugene and Francis (Butcher) Damico.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren. No service will held at this time.
