Obituary for Johnny Lafayette Reeves Jr.
Johnny Lafayette Reeves, Jr., 78, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on February 3, 2023 in his home. He was born on February 23, 1944 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Johnnie and Helen Ruth (Stephens) Reeves. He was a retired Federal Agent for the DEA through the U.S. Department of Justice and later was the co-owner of Open Aire MRI’s of Fort Smith. He was a member of Grace Community Church and formerly served in the Mississippi Air National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sue Reeves of the home, two daughters, Ashley Teague of Fort Smith and Lesley Reeves Perry (Josh) of Lubbock, TX; a son, Douglas Stephens Reeves of Conway, AR; two sisters, Sandra Hunt of Rolesville, NC and Beverly Gaertner of Saginaw, MI and two grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Teague.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oxford, MI. Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
