Jimmie John Hurtt, 88, of Mulberry, AR passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 14, 2023 at Van Buren Health and Rehab. Jimmie was an active member in his community, served in local and state law enforcement and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jimmie was born November 05, 1934 in Paris, AR to the late George Samuel and Pearl Lewis Hurtt. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Ona Mae Hurtt; two sons, William Randall and James Richard; and two daughters, Clarissa Lenee and Donna Lee.
Viewing will be 2:00 - 4:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy., 64 E. A family held memorial will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his sister Betty Sue Sterling; brothers Lonnie Hurt and Donald Hurt; daughters, Virginia Gaye Szalonek, Ann Lee, and Joanne Cantrell; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
