Jerry Don Huey went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 16, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 6, 1945 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Eugene and Katherine (Lawler) Huey. He proudly served in the United States Military and retired after 32 years of service, he also was a quality engineer for Superior Industries. Jerry enjoyed watching sports and his favorite team was the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also enjoyed doing gardening, four wheeling and traveling. Jerry was a member of Cavanaugh Church and was preceded in death by his parents. He believed that he was so lucky to have his life, his wife and a bounty of devoted family and friends, and that there would be no sickness in heaven.
Graveside memorial services with honors are 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Mona of the home; three daughters, Amber Pack (Randy) of Barling, AR, Tammy Medley (Stacy) of Spiro, OK and Andrea Lamproe of Booneville, AR; a brother, Larry Huey (Pat) of Fayetteville, AR; two sisters, Carolyn Roberts of Farmington, AR and Diane Clark (Melvin) of Goshen, AR; five grandchildren, Kyle Medley, Katelyn and Joshua Pack, Cassidy Potthast and Maisie Matlock; one great grandchild Tanner Potthast and his loved fur baby, Jasper.
