Obituary for Jason Ryan Kain

Jason Kain, 46 of Rudy, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was born February 27, 1977 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated from Van Buren High School Class of 95. He received a football scholarship to attend Arkansas Tech in Russellville. He later transferred to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville to pursue a Political Science degree. Jason loved watching sports on TV, especially his favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching WWE Wresting and spending time with his beloved dog, Maggie.

He is survived by his mother and step-dad, Kay and Danny Villines of Rudy; his father, Ronny Kain of Alma; his brother Darren Kain of Rudy; his step-sister Jennifer Hooyer of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his step-brothers Jeremy Villines of Atlanta, Georgia and Dr. Jeffrey Villines of Houston.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5-7PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street in downtown Van Buren. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00PM, Friday March 17, 2023

We would like to thank Jason’s wonderful caregivers, Spencer Kain, Debra Swain & Shanna Harris and numerous others whom had lovingly taken care of his every need over the last eight years. We could not have kept Jason Home with us without the assistance of these awesome people.

Pallbearers will be Eric Hines, Chase Bailey, Landon Bailey, Mike Moore, Jason Cook and Joe Grandon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Spencer Kain, Charley Foulk, David Peevy, Doug Kasier, Nick Kasier, Jeff Kasier, and also the Rudy Volunteer Fire Department.
