Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Baker, 78, of Ft Smith passed away on Friday Sept. 30, 2022 in Ft. Smith. She was born Oct. 11, 1943 in Ft Smith to Matthew and Lena (Bowles) Thurmon. She was a retired administrative assistant in Health Care working at Sparks, Holt Krock and Health South and a past co-owner of Universal Joint Specialist. Liz was a member of Bluff Ave. Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son Linoel Baker, Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Dallas Lloyd and Jessica Farrell and one brother Charles Thurmon.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Lee Ann Swain (Curtis) of Branch, Dr. Diana Roe (Heath) of Springfield, MO and Jennifer Baker of Ft. Smith; 1 sister, Maxine Ciampi of Pearisburg, VA; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Renee and Kendi Lloyd, Zane Roe and Jeremy Swain; 1 great-grandchild Alexis Farrell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday Oct. 3, 2022 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Ft. Smith with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. The Family will visit with friends from 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
