Obituary for Dorothy Elene Johnson (Gilpin)
Dorothy Elene Johnson, 93 of Van Buren passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at a local hospital. She was a lunch room supervisor for the Van Buren School District and a member of Crosspoint Church in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Johnson, eight brothers and sisters, a son-in-law Melvin and a great grandson.
She is survived by two daughters Beverly Jo Robertson of Van Buren and Barbara Laird and her husband John of Springdale; two sons Robert Baxter and his wife Felicitas, and Dennis Johnson and his wife Alice all of Van Buren; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30AM, Monday, November 28, 2022 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 2-4PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street.
Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Chandler Johnson, Trystan Johnson, Connor Johnson and Jordyn Johnson.
