Donna Rae Fine, 79, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born on December 8, 1942 in Fayetteville, AR to Donnie and Hazel (Skelton) Parrish. Donna was a co-owner and worked for Southern Transit Company for over 20 years. When not at work she was active in the Arkansas PTA serving in numerous local and state positions including a term as State President of the Arkansas PTA. She was also active in the Community Clearing House serving on the original board of directors and later as a member of the Clearing House Guild. Donna was a Christian and a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church. Before joining Rye Hill Baptist Church she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 60 years prior to the church closing. While at Immanuel Donna taught a Sunday School Class, sang in the church choir and was active in the Baptist missionary efforts in the WMU.
Due to COVID graveside only services are 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Brentwood Cemetery located on US Hwy 71, north of Winslow, AR under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Fine of the home; a daughter, Sharon Lazdins and her husband Erik of Tulsa, OK; a son, Richard Fine of Fort Smith, AR; two brothers, Rick Parrish and his wife Shivaun of Fort Smith and Lindell Parrish of Houston, TX; a sister in law and brother in law, Linda and Larry Chunn of Fort Smith, AR and two grandchildren, Emma and Aleks Lazdins both of Tulsa, OK.
