David G. Lovegrove, 71, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born on May 26, 1950 in Mulberry, Arkansas to David and Norma Jean (Tankersley) Lovegrove. He was a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church and a former member of Haven Heights Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Lovegrove Construction. David was happiest on the lake in his boat fishing or in his RV taking road trips. He enjoyed dirt track and NASCAR racing and began his racing career in the 1970's.
Funeral service is 2:00PM, Monday, March 21, 2022 at Rye Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
The family will visit with friends from 2-4PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ora Mae Lovegrove; two daughters, Angie Anderson and her husband, Curtis of Bonanza, AR and Amy Lovegrove of Fort Smith; a grandson, David Tharp and his wife Kristyle of Fort Smith; a sister, Cindy Lovegrove of Tuttle, OK and several great grandchildren.
