Obituary for Carol Eloise Bailey (Bailey)

Carol Eloise Bailey closed her eyes for the last time here on this earth, and opened them in heaven, at 10:45am on Friday, April 15, 2022. Carol was 77 years old and passed peacefully at home, with her two daughters at her bedside. Carol was born on January 22, 1945 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Johnny and Virginia (Robbins) Bailey.

Carol courageously battled a rare skin condition, and struggled with dementia, during the last two years of her life. Through it all she remained gracious and grateful to those who cared for her. She often spoke of how ready she was for Jesus to come for her. Carol's faith in the latter years of her life brought her peace, and allowed her to set her hope fully on the grace of Jesus, and the assurance of eternal life, promised to all who are willing to put their trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Carol would be the first to tell you that she was far from perfect...but she knew that she was forgiven and loved by a perfect Savior. Carol was a member of the Church of Christ.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Virginia Bailey. She is survived by two brothers, James Ronald Bailey and Dr. Mark Bailey; two daughters, Pennie (Ken) Podlinsek and Susan (David) Dies; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Brooke Dies; and two close friends and loving caregivers, Billy Norman and Emily Cregger.

One of Carol's favorite Bible promises is found in 1 Corinthians 2:9:
As it is written:
"Eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him."

No service is scheduled at this time. Cremation was under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home.
