Obituary for Betty Jean Roller (Morton)
Betty Jean Roller, 89, of Fort Smith passed away peacefully on Sunday March 27, 2022 in Fort Smith. Betty was born November 12, 1932 in Springfield, Mo to Russell and Ava (Faulkner) Morton. She was the shoe department manager for Walmart for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Michael Roller.
She is survived by one daughter, Melanie Taylor of Fort Smith; one son Mark Roller of Fort Smith; a son-in-law, Michael Taylor; one sister, Roberta Morton of Stratford, MO; one brother, Sonny Morton of Springfield, MO; grandson, Michael Nixon and his wife Elga; granddaughter, Miranda Taylor; great-grandchildren Devyn and Lane Schader.
Cremation is under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Betty was a strong, feisty, independent woman who loved her family unconditionally. She will be forever loved and missed.
