Obituary for Anna Belle Damron (Gentry)

Anna Belle Damron, 87, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 in her home with her family by her side. She was born on August 21, 1934 in Bass Little Township in Sebastian County to Everett and Belvia (Bartlett) Gentry. Anna Belle was a graduate of Charleston High School and Westark Community College. Anna was a homemaker, a member of First Presbyterian Church, past president and volunteer of Sparks Guild, past treasurer of the Fort Smith Art Center for many years; she volunteered for the Fort Smith Museum of History and did taxes for AARP and RSVP. She and her husband Dorance were married in 1956 and celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary before his death.
Graveside services are 10 AM, Friday, August 12, 2022 at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Ann Damron of Fort Smith; two sons, David Damron (Karen) of Fort Smith, AR and James G. Damron (Shawn) of Benton County, AR; three sisters, Rebecca Godbey of Charleston, AR, Patricia McCombs of Tulsa, OK and Nancy Kay Thompson; six grandchildren, Emily Beaty (Jon) of Fort Smith, John Damron of Denver, CO, Leslie Luminar’e of Eureka Springs, AR, Allen Damron of Tulsa, OK. Parker Damron (Ashley) of Jonesboro,AR and Beck Damron of Chicago, IL and 4 great granddaughters, Brooke, Willow, Lauren and Oaklynn.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
